Every night after everyone has turned down the covers and gone off to sleep, Linda Rutenberg and her husband Roger Leeon, got dressed, grabbed a camera and flashlights and stole out into the night time world of plants and flowers. Their mission was to photograph botanical gardens in their nocturnal splendor.

Linda is the photographer; Roger was the lighting master.

Having procured permission for their visit, they set about the garden searching for the extraordinary flower, the secret passageway or special point of view that gives us an unprecedented vision into a world that has never been seen before. Without the use of any traditional photographic lighting other than the moon and pocket flashlights, they spin their visual magic into the most sensual, sculptural and breathing photographs.

Linda and her husband have repeated this ritual in the most beautiful botanical gardens in North America and England. After extensive research on historical significance, climate zones and floral collections, Linda chose significant gardens that are well known and frequently visited in order to show an entirely different appreciation of nature

Linda et son mari ont répété ce rituel dans les plus beaux jardins botaniques d'Amérique du Nord et d'Angleterre. Après des recherches approfondies sur l'importance historique, les zones climatiques et les collections florales, Linda a choisi des jardins importants qui sont bien connus et fréquemment visités afin de montrer une appréciation entièrement différente de la nature.
